Scarlet Diva – Movie Of The Month

This is a semi-autobiographical film by first time director and writer Asia Argento. Shot entirely on digital video around Europe, Asia stars in this film as the lead character, Anna Battista. I love this movie simply because it’s soooo trashy. You follow Anna Battista from one crazy situation to another. It’s sleazy, vulgar, and fabulous. Both soundtracks are also pretty bad ass, one by John Hughes and the second soundtrack by Lory D. The commentary by Asia is also very informative and entertaining, she definitely doesn’t hold back on anything!
